Have you ever been insulted and hurt by someone so you killed them with kindness after? Not many people can say they have but that is exactly what one Michigan mother did.
Dianne Hoffmeyer went into a Tim Horton’s with her 22 month old daughter to get coffee and donut holes when the two women in line behind her made negative comments about her body. AOL reports these women made remarks on her hair and weight saying things like “Oh look at her hair, it’s nasty looking and the roots are coming through,” and “Oh she’s a whale, oh the whale needs to eat.” Hoffmeyer is extremely saddened by the insults because she has been working on her weight and has lost 177 pounds!
Instead of retaliating or being negative back, Hoffmeyer took the high road and decided to pay for the women’s coffee and call it a day. Since this incident, Hoffmeyer has been recognized as being the greater person and received tremendous support through social media.
